The Office for State Protected Areas Office

The Office for State Protected Areas Office handles the following responsibilities:

1- Propose programs and development plans, as well as prepare submit for approval the annual budget for operating and maintaining all state protected areas and the houbara ‘bustard’ breeding centers.

2- Supervise and maintain state protected areas and houbara breeding centers in line with the plans and programs in place. Relatedly, the Office is also responsible for submitting regular reports on those tasks.

3- Pinpoint, follow up on, and submit reports on the needs of the state protected areas and houbara breeding centers.

4- Submit purchase and project orders, as well as operate and maintain programs, and assess the technical aspects of the projects proposed with respect to state protected areas and houbara breeding centers, including their facilities, in collaboration with the relevant administrative units.

5- Submit the annual report on progress made in state protected areas and houbara breeding centers.
