His Excellency the Minister of Environment and Climate Change inspects the Traditional Bearings Festival

His Excellency Dr. Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, conducted an inspection visit to the activities of the thirteenth edition of the Traditional Bearings Festival organized by the Public Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). The festival runs from November 28th to December 2nd.

During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on the festival’s details, the pavilions of participating countries and entities. The festival has become an annual event that celebrates Qatar’s maritime heritage and culture, shedding light on its maritime traditions. Additionally, it offers insights into the cultures of other nations influenced by the sea in their customs, traditions, and ways of life.

For the first time, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change participated with its own pavilion at the thirteenth edition of the Traditional Bearings Festival. The ministry’s participation focused on introducing visitors to methods of preserving marine environments and wildlife, particularly endangered marine species, and how to interact with and conserve them. Additionally, there was a showcase of prohibited fishing tools, highlighting their dangers to marine life.
