The Cabinet approves a draft decision to determine the fees for permitting winter camps

The Council of Ministers approved, in its regular meeting on Wednesday, a draft decision by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, regarding setting permit fees for winter camps.

The draft decision included reducing permit fees for winter camps from QR10,000 to QR3,000 for all areas, whether land, sea, or those located within a natural reserve, with the exemption of people with disabilities and retirees from those fees. This decision comes with the aim of enhancing well-being and ensuring community enjoyment. This is possible during the camping season only.

Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie said that reducing fees for winter camp permits comes within the framework of the wise leadership’s directives to reduce the burden on citizens and provide them with a decent life.

This step comes within the ongoing efforts in the country to care for retirees and people with disabilities, and to improve the services provided to them to ensure the quality of life for these basic groups of the nation’s people. It also comes in the context of the efforts of all sectors of society to return the favor to retirees who have spared no effort in serving the nation and citizens throughout the country.
