The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change receives a global award during the 2023 Esri Conference in the United States of America

A delegation from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change received the award for the Best Special Achievement in Geographic Information Systems during the 2023 Esri Conference. This recognition was granted for the exceptional performance of the Al-Reem Reserve website, surpassing over 100,000 institutions worldwide.

The award and certificates were received by the working team at the ESRI 2023 Conference, held in San Diego, United States of America. The delegation from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change was led by Dr. Ibrahim Abdul Latif Al-Muslimani, Assistant Undersecretary for Protection and Natural Reserves Affairs. The delegation also included Mr. Mubarak Khalifa Al-Dosari, Mr. Nawaf Jabr Al-Nuaimi, and Dr. Sayed Al-Bukhari.

The Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve website, under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, was selected for the Best Special Achievement in Geographic Information Systems award at the 2023 Esri Conference. This award is given to user sites from all around the world as recognition for outstanding work utilizing GIS technology.

The Al-Reem Biosphere Reserve website stood out as the best site among over 100,000 institutions worldwide, achieving the finest scientific utilization of Geographic Information Systems in redefining regions and formulating a model development plan for GIS application.
