The Planning, Quality, and Innovation Department handles the following responsibilities:
1- Devise the Ministry’s strategic plan in coordination with the relevant agencies and administrative units, and take all the necessary measures for the implementation of the plan.
2- Pinpoint existing challenges, assess potential institution-related risks that may have an impact on fulfilling the goals dictated by the Ministry and propose applicable solutions in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
3- Devise alternative plans in order to ensure that operations continue in times of emergency or crisis in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
4- Devise executive draft plans, which include projects and programs to be implemented by the relevant administrative units. Such plans are submitted to the Minister for approval.
5- Follow up on the implementation of plans of Ministry activities, assess their outcomes, and submit regular reports on said activities.
6- Study the issues and obstacles emerging in the course of implementing the strategic plan, as well as the executive plans, and propose appropriate solutions.
7- Assess the quality of the services provided by the administrative units, in coordination with each unit.
8- Assess performance quality on the level of administrative units, with submitting proposals to improve overall efficiency.
9- Ensure the harmony and compatibility of work methods with the scope and goals of the Ministry, propose plans to improve and develop said work methods, and streamline procedures in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
10- Study the issues and obstacles found within the workflow of the Ministry, pinpoint their causes, and propose appropriate solutions.
11- Seriously consider and study innovative initiative and ideas in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
12- Monitor, collect, and analyze statistical data on the activities carried out by the Ministry and coordinate with the relevant administrative units to prepare the necessary statistical report as per the Ministry’s needs.
13- Coordinate with the relevant administrative units vis-à-vis international indicators on ministries’ work and mandates.
