The Public Relations and Communication Department

The Public Relations and Communication Department handles the following responsibilities:

1- Release newsletters and media campaigns that raise awareness on the Ministry’s role, activities, and scope of work in coordination with the relevant administrative units.

2- Monitor any content published in newspapers, media, or social media that relates to the interests of the Ministry and its scope of work, make it available to the relevant officials, and formulate a response, if necessary, in coordination with the relevant administrative units and authorities.

3- Receive requests and complaints and refer them to the relevant administrative units and reply to any inquiries received.

4- Handle all travel, hospitality, and residency arrangements for the Ministry’s guests and visiting delegations in coordination with the relevant administrative units.

5- Evaluate the cultural, social, and sporting events carried out by the employees of the Ministry, and supervise any events involving the Ministry whether as a host or a guest.

6- Handle the organization of the conferences, seminars, and exhibitions by the Ministry, and devise the necessary budget in coordination with the relevant administrative units.

7- Coordinate with the relevant administrative units for the sake of  devising plans and campaigns for environmental awareness and education, and implement said plans and campaigns through the different events in coordination with the relevant agencies.

8- Establish community-based partnerships with the various educational and environmental bodies in order to improve environmental awareness and propagate environmental education community-wide.

9- Coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to make the environment a topic of high priority in school curriculums.

10- Organize and supervise environmental activities and awareness-oriented environmental programs in coordination with the relevant agencies.

11- Take special care of the requests of elderly and disabled persons to finish their paperwork and ease any issues or difficulties they may face in coordination with the relevant administrative units.
