Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Participates in University of Doha for Science and Technology Career Fair 2023

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change featured a special pavilion in the Career Fair 2023 organized by the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). At the career fair, more than 80 organizations from the government and semi-government sectors as well as the private sector took part.

The pavilion of the Ministry of Environment was well attended by students, where the students learned about the mechanisms of work within the ministry, and the academic disciplines required to work in all sectors of the ministry, and representatives of the ministry answered all students’ inquiries and provided them with a full explanation of all the different career paths provided by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

Through the Career Fair, employers’ representatives can communicate directly, providing participating entities with a special chance to connect with top students at the USDT. Three weeks prior to the Career Fair, the USDT hosted a number of professional preparatory sessions and workshops on campus, in order to give students the information and skills necessary to communicate with employers and achieve their career goals, it was facilitated in coordination with key stakeholders.

The Career Fair was paper free, reinforcing the USDT’s commitment to environmental responsibility, and ensuring every student, graduate and high school student had access to the same networking opportunities and resources.

Also, the USDT introduced an innovative AI-powered platform to help attendees explore career options. Such platform reflected the importance that the USDT attaches to cutting-edge technology and helped participants find opportunities that match their interests.
