His Excellency Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Thani Al Thani

An environmental activist and lover of nature, he has environmental contributions and an effective role in preserving wildlife and biodiversity in the State of Qatar.
He is the owner of “Umm Haysh” nature reserve.

The reserve was established in 1950 by his father, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Thani Bin Jassim Al Thani, may God have mercy on him, and is located on a peninsula prepared with facilities, stables, and equipment for animal care, it includes many wild trees from the Qatari environment, such as Ziziphus spina-christi and Lycium shawii, and a wide range of wild animals, most notably the endangered antelope, Arabian oryx, wild rabbits, and various birds from the Qatari environment, such as the Houbara bustard, as well as falcons of various kinds.

In addition to his prominent role in protecting and caring for endangered animals and birds in the State of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Thani Al Thani released groups of Houbara bustards in the Qatari environment and planted more than 2,000 trees and palm trees on the Qatari mainland.
